Here is something interesting about Christmas Eve dinner in a typical Italian home - It is traditionally comprised of a seven-course meal of all seafood.  I have heard several reasons on why the number of courses is seven - whether they are meant to symbolize the seven sacraments or the seven hills in Rome, nobody really seems to know.  Regardless, I wanted to create a new dish for the holiday season that celebrates this tradition, which is the new Seafood Cioppino.  Cioppino is an Italian seafood stew and while most cultures have some sort of seafood stew, I wanted the Carino's version to be bountiful and bold in both flavor and presentation.  The Carino's Seafood Cioppino is filled shrimp, calamari, tilapia and greenlip mussels in a white wine tomato sauce over angel hair pasta with garlic toast for dipping.  Come on in and let me know what you think of it!!
