The other night, my fiance Kelly and I had the opportunity to eat at the Union Oyster House in Boston.  Why is this so cool you ask?  Well, it is the oldest operating restaurant in the United States!  Almost 200 years old, this classic New England eatery has seen some serious history - from the local patriots stopping by for some brandy and some fresh oysters to JFK being a regular in one of their hidden booths.  We had an amazing meal - the cornbread, clam chowder, and Seafood Newburg (scallops, shrimp and lobster in a sherry cream sauce over a puff pastry shell and rice) was phenomenal.  As I sat there eating, I tried to imagine what it was like dining there back before electricity in the middle of a Boston winter.  If you ever head to Boston, you must check it out!
