The Legend of the Ranch Hand

One of the great things about Carino's is the "fire"; fire for what we do and fire for who we are as a company and family.

The Story

In the early days when the company was formed, our founders set out to break away from the traditional "corporate" way of business and blaze a new trail. It began with setting up the original office in a Ranch House – complete with horses and cows. One of the tasks of the early Ranch Hand was caring for the animals at the Ranch. The official definition of "Ranch" according to Webster's is an "area devoted to a particular specialty." At the Ranch, we are committed to the success of Carino's Italian Grill and making it THE premier Italian restaurant concept while continuing the traditions began in 1997 at the Ranch House.

What is a Ranch Hand?

Hard Working: Ranch Hands are hardworking, determined people. No job is too small or too big for the Ranch Hand who knows how to get the job done right the first time.

Team Players: Ranch Hands understand that teamwork is a must. With strong character, and a firm respect for one another, Ranch Hands work hand-in-hand to overcome obstacles and complete their tasks, no matter how difficult or complex they are.

Fun: Ranch Hands work hard but also know how to have fun. Ranch Hands make happy trails by keeping a sense of humor and fostering an atmosphere of fun.

Feeding the Fire...

As we have grown, we have moved away from the original Ranch House, however, the culture of our company remains the same because we continue to celebrate and share fundamental traditions. The title of Ranch Hand is proudly worn as an inspiration to us.

 Remembering how it all began, carrying on a unique culture and encouraging all Ranch Hands, old and new, to bear the core values of Carino's Italian Grill.

  • Flexible Spending Accounts
    • Fired Up, Inc. offers two types of Spending Accounts (Health Care and Dependent Care) to help our Ranch Hands pay less in taxes as they pay for routine health and dependent care expenses.
  • Term Life Insurance and AD&D
    • Fired Up, Inc. automatically provides Basic Term Life and AD&D insurance at no cost to our Ranch Hands. We also provide coverage for your Spouse/Domestic Partner and Children.
  • Disability Protection
    • We understand that a disability can happen at any time. At Fired Up, Inc. we provide company paid Short and Long-Term Disability Plans that pay in conjunction with a salaried continuation plan.
  • Supplemental Term Life Insurance
    • Ranch Hands have the option to increase their own life insurance coverage with this plan at a nominal cost.
  • Spouse/Domestic Partner and Dependent Life Insurance
    • Ranch Hands who enroll in Supplemental Term Life Insurance also have the opportunity to enroll in a plan that provides Life Insurance benefits for their Spouse/Domestic Partner and/or Children.
  • Domestic Partner Benefits
    • Because we value diversity in the workplace, Fired Up, Inc. offers our Ranch Hands the opportunity to cover a qualified domestic partner under our Insurance Plans as a dependent.

Retirement Benefits

  • 401(k) Retirement Plan
    • The 401(k) Retirement Plan helps you save money while deferring taxes. Fired Up, Inc. matches 25% up to a maximum of 5% of your contributions.

Time Off Benefits

  • Paid Vacation
    • Fired Up, Inc. offers paid time off to allow you time to relax away from the workplace.
      • Date of hire through 4th year of employment = 3.08 hours accrued bi-weekly
      • Beginning 5th year through 9th year of employment = 4.62 hours accrued bi-weekly
      • Beginning 10th year and beyond = 6.15 hours accrued bi-weekly
  • Holidays
    • Ranch Hands have up to 12 paid Holidays per year, including 2 floating days.
  • Paid Leaves Include:
    • Fired Up, Inc. maintains a competitive Leave of Absence program aside from FMLA and other leaves not qualifying under the STD or LTD programs. These include:
